SPECIAL PROGRAMS
In June of 2022, FORAS initiated the Senior Animal Adoption Opportunity which is a program that promotes adoption for up to seven animals ten years or older. Because some are hesitant to adopt senior animals due to anticipated higher medical costs, FORAS funds their medical needs, outside of preventive care, after their adoption for the duration of their life. This program decreases the animal’s time spent in the shelter and allows them to live the remainder of their lives in a comfortable home.

Black Fridays
Our beautiful black dogs and cats are available with HALF-OFF ADOPTION FEES every Friday! Black animals are often overlooked in shelters but they have just as much to offer! And, if you can believe it, they get even cuter with age as their faces become "frosty" with white and gray. They're microchipped and have received all vaccinations. Come meet our black beauties! Tue-Sat 11am-6pm
Are you a local business owner that would like to be highlighted during our auctions? Are you a community member with new or gently used item(s) you'd like to contribute? We are looking for items to help raise funds for the ongoing expenses of animal care in our community and we need your help! We just ended our spring auction! Our next auction is scheduled for August 4th through the 18th and is a great way to show your support for FORAS and our community!
